The Johns Creek Convention & Visitors Bureau has released what the city describes as the first virtual tour of its kind and “a one-of-a-kind concierge experience.”

The 360-degree video, 2D video and virtual tour experience were recently produced by the Convention & Visitors Bureau with Wade Works Creative, a marketing firm owned by designer and HGTV host Chip Wade.

The interactive tour begins with a bird’s eye view of the city, and lets the virtual visitor walk through parks, shops and restaurants. Travel itineraries are included, such as “Family Getaway” and “Outdoor Retreat.”

The 360-degree video offers such points of interest as the Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Newtown Dream Dog Park. The 2D video, hosted by Wade, takes viewers on a guided tour of Johns Creek.

“This kind of technology is cutting edge, and being the first destination to utilize this program is a perfect fit for Johns Creek’s vision, ‘Be the Exception,’” said Lynda Lee Smith, Convention & Visitors Bureau chairwoman.
