The Johns Creek City Council has approved contracts with CH2M Hill Engineers Inc. to run the city’s Public Works and Recreation and Parks departments, and to manage its parks bond and TSPLOST projects.

CH2M has provided municipal services to Johns Creek since its incorporation in 2006, City Manager Warren Hutmacher said in a report to the council. The consultant has handled community development, public works and the parks since 2010. Earlier this summer, the council decided to have the city take over the community development function and continue to outsource other services.

The terms of the latest CH2M professional service agreements are for five years, with up to five, one-year renewal options.

For public works and the parks, the first-year fee will be $2.4 million; the fee will be negotiated annually, with increases capped at 4 percent. For TSPLOST project management, the minimum annual fee will be $500,000; and for parks bond management, $150,000. Quarterly audits will be conducted and the fee, adjusted as necessary.
