Laura Ashby has a lot to be thankful for this holiday week.

The attorney from Marietta will appear on Tuesday night's "Jeopardy" as a returning champion with two-day winnings of $36,802.

Ashby was contacted to audition for the show several months after taking a "Jeopardy" online test, according to her employers at Miller & Martin PLLC.

Ashby said she's been watching "Jeopardy" for as long as she can remember.

The litigation associate has also been piquing interest on Twitter after her television appearance and success.

People have been using the hashtag #JeopardyLaura to discuss Ashby's unique voice inflection. Take a listen here:

American actor DJ Qualls said he, like many, is "fascinated" by her voice.

Ashby's employers are standing by their now-famous employee, giving her this shout-out on Twitter.

UPDATE: Ashby's "Jeopardy" winning streak ended Tuesday night after she lost to Florida resident Julie Adair.

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors.
