A Cobb County grand jury has indicted a former church volunteer with 15 counts of child molestation and aggravated child molestation for alleged sex crimes against children, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Cesar Pastrana was arrested in February after he had inappropriate contact with students while volunteering at NorthStar Church in Acworth, police said. He is being held without bond in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
At the time of his arrest, the 25-year-old Pastrana was accused of touching a juvenile at a Feb. 3 lock-in held a private home in Acworth, police said.
Investigators discovered that the Cobb County man allegedly had victimized two other juveniles at a private residence in late December 2010 to early January 2011 in unincorporated Cobb County.
Pastrana allegedly also physically injured a 14-year-old boy while molesting him last fall, according to an arrest warrant obtained by the AJC.
Two years ago, Pastrana was banned from volunteering at Barber Middle School, police said.
Channel 2 reported that NorthStar parents were upset because the school officials warned the church earlier about inappropriate text messages between Pastrana and students.
