An impatient driver crashed into a building and then left the scene in Little Five Points Saturday afternoon.

Erin Robasciotti, manager of the Abbadabbas on Moreland Avenue, witnessed the incident.

A woman driving a Mitsubishi was waiting for cars in front of her to turn into The Vortex parking lot when a woman behind her, driving a Ford Expedition, began blowing her horn.

“She was doing the right thing,” Robasciotti said of the Mitsubishi driver.

The Expedition struck the Mitsubishi several times while attempting to go around the woman, and eventually slammed into the building next to Abbadabbas.

Robasciotti said the driver then backed up the truck, with the airbag deployed and visible damage to the hood, and left the scene.

“Somehow she missed the pedestrians on the sidewalk,” Robasciotti said.

Atlanta police have not commented on the incident. It is unclear if the Expedition has been located.
