A Clayton County man is in custody after attempting to kidnap his estranged wife and infant child from Southlake Mall Sunday afternoon.

Darius Hosley, 27, forced his wife, who was holding their 2-month-old child, out of the mall at gunpoint, Morrow Police said. When confronted by witnesses, Hosley fired several rounds into the air. No one was hit by the stray bullets.

Hosley was blocked from exiting the mall by officers from both the Morrow and Clayton County police departments. He surrendered without incident.

Neither his wife or child were injured, Morrow police say.

Hosley, being held in the Clayton County jail, faces numerous charges, including kidnapping, false imprisonment and aggravated assault. More charges may be coming, Morrow police say.
