HIV town hall meeting to stress importance of testing
The DeKalb/Stone Mountain Chapter of the National Action Network will hold a town hall meeting to help increase awareness about HIV/AIDS and testing.
The town hall will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 25 at the DeKalb County Department of Family and Children Services, 178 Sams St. in Decatur.
Medical professionals and counselors will also be available to do rapid HIV testing and counseling during the meeting. Both are confidential.
National HIV Testing Day was created in 1995 by the National Association of People with AIDS and offers free testing at sites across the nation.
