Here are the retailers and restaurants opening in Avalon's expansion

There’s a lot of excitement surrounding Avalon right now.

Last week, Mayor David Belle Isle unveiled plans for Alpharetta’s version of the Beltline — the Alpha Loop — which would connect the mixed-use development to other city attractions.

And now an updated list of the retailers and restaurants set to open with its forthcoming expansion has been released. It includes a previously-unannounced boutique, South Moon Under.

The expansion, which will officially open to the public April 13, is set to double the already-huge Avalon in size. It will bring eight restaurants, 12 retailers, 276 residences and a 224,000-square-foot office tower, according to a Wednesday press release.

Both a final unnamed retailer and restaurant will be announced in April. That restaurant will open in The Hotel at Avalon, which will be connected to the conference center, in January 2018.
