The Henry County Board of Commissioners recognized the Parks and Recreation Department and two employees who were honored by the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association during this year’s conference.

The recognition came during the Dec. 4 board meeting. HCPRD won District 6 Agency of the Year from the GRPA, and employees who were recognized with awards included James “Bull” Martin, Fairview Recreation Center’s Facility Coordinator who won the District 6 Distinguished Professional award; and Peggy Hesselbach, HCPRD’s Recreation Athletics Specialist who won the District 6 Athletics/Aquatics Network award.
