Officials with Henry County Schools sent a letter June 12 to 2020 graduates and their families announcing that graduation ceremonies for all ten traditional high schools in the county would take place at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton.

Utilizing the massive facility will allow graduates to have eight guests each in attendance while still adhering to social distancing and other state guidelines. There will be two ceremonies per day the week of June 22-26. Classes scheduled for 9 a.m. graduation, in order from Monday to Friday: Luella, McDonough, Hampton, Dutchtown and Woodland. Classes set for 8 p.m. ceremonies are Stockbridge, Locust Grove, Eagle’s Landing, Union Grove and Ola.

Officials announced in the same letter that state guidelines had forced the cancellation of prom and other associated senior activities.
