The Henry County Emergency Management Agency is looking for volunteers to be a part of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and will offer the next free CERT course starting March 24.

The eight-week course is held each Tuesday through May 12 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and will cover topics such as disaster preparedness; medical operations; light search and rescue operations; disaster psychology; team organization; basic fire suppression: and terrorism awareness. The program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills.
