The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted June 19 to accept a $300,000 grant from the state’s Criminal Justice Coordinating Council on behalf of the county’s Juvenile Court for the continued coordination of the Functional Family Therapy and Multisystemic Therapy programs for the next 12 months.

This is the sixth year Henry County has received this grant award. There is no required local match for the funds. The programs are intended to reduce the number of children removed from their families and address the needs of youth who are typically committed to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
