Help clean up a part of metro Atlanta with ‘Love & Hip Hop’ cast

Celebrities from the hit reality show “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” are expected to gather in South DeKalb this weekend and assist in a community cleanup.
DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson, whose district includes part of South DeKalb, urged residents to attend the cleanup Saturday morning and a subsequent anti-violence rally.
K. Botchey and others from the ‘Love and Hip Hop’ cast are expected to attend, Johnson’s office said.
Other local celebrities like Yung Joc, Stevie J and Karlie Redd are known for their appearances on the show.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 29 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot outside Big Lots at 2738 Candler Road. A rally protesting violence in the area is scheduled for noon to 1 p.m. People who are not able to make it, Johnson said, are encouraged to make their own anti-violence signs in their neighborhoods and post them on social media.
