Do-it-yourself moving company U-Haul has extended its 30-day free self-storage offer to residents and evacuees in Georgia affected by Hurricane Irma's wrath.

According to a Sunday press release, six U-Haul companies have activated the offer in 21 facilities across 15 Georgia cities.

The offer includes 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage.

“This storm is a monster and some forecasts predict a direct hit on Atlanta,” U-Haul Company of Central Georgia President Jason Petty said. “U-Haul is a member of these communities and it is important for us to help.”

Georgia is bracing for the now tropical storm to hit hard Monday and is preparing for severe flooding, property damage, power outages and more.
