The city of the Hapeville will host a LCI/Comprehensive Plan Planning Crawl 6 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 19 starting at the Depot Museum, 620 S. Central Ave. Livable Centers Initiative, a program of the Atlanta Regional Commission which awards planning grants competitively to local governments and nonprofit organizations to help improve existing centers, is hosting the mobile meeting of people visiting different businesses in the city. The discussion about the vision for the LCI update will continue at each location.

After the Depot Museum, the crawl will move to Volare Bistro at 603 N. Central Ave., Beer Girl Growlers & Bottleshop at 587 N. Central Ave. and Buttersweet Bakery at 625 N. Central Ave.

The Hapeville LCI major plan update will build from previous LCI plans and studies including the Hapeville Main Street Town Center LCI Study of 2005.

Among the goals of the 2005 LCI were to encourage diverse mixed income neighborhoods at the town center, provide access to various modes of transportation, preserve the center’s historic characteristics and provide planning funding for the center’s development.
