A Gwinnett woman out on bond for felony animal cruelty charges was arrested Thursday after a traffic stop.

Suzy Lugo is being held without bond in the Gwinnett County Jail after authorities arrested her in Alpharetta. Lugo was wanted for failure to appear after being out on bond for one felony and three misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals.

Lugo was arrested March 2010 after Gwinnett sheriff’s deputies went to serve an eviction notice at her Norcross apartment. Authorities found one dead cat and three other animals – two Bullmastiffs and a cat – close to death from starvation.

The animals were taken to Gwinnett Animal Control.
