Gwinnett County police are looking for a man suspected of stealing a purse and a wallet from cars parked in the garage of a Lawrenceville home.

The burglary took place on April 4. Early that morning, the suspect was seen on surveillance camera at a QuikTrip on Buford Drive around 3:30 a.m. and a Waffle House on Buford Drive around 5 a.m. He was also seen at a Wal-Mart on Buford Drive at an unspecified time.

The suspect is described as a male between 20 and 25 years old with brown hair and glasses, standing 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighing between 200 and 250 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a Washington Nationals T-shirt and baggy black pants.

A Waffle House employee told police that the man had a black eye and marks on his arm. The man told the employee he had gotten into a fight with his family, police said.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
