Investigators continue to look for the people connected with a Duluth apartment complex shooting that left one man dead and another injured.

One shooting victim, identified Saturday as Felipe Reynoso Brito, 39, of Duluth, died at the hospital. The second, Miguel Angel Batista, also of Duluth, is in stable condition and is expected to recover from his injuries, Gwinnett police said in a press release.

The shooting is possibly drug-related, police said. Officers responded to the Carrington Chase complex around 5:45 p.m. to find the two victims. Brito was shot in the torso, Batista was shot in the groin. Both were taken to  Gwinnett Medical Center.

Witnesses reported that the two men were talking with as many as four occupants of a dark-colored vehicle before the gunfire broke out. The car was spotted speeding from the complex after the shooting, though it's unclear where it was headed.

Detectives worked through the night and into the morning hours pursuing witnesses and leads, Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Brian Kelly said Saturday

Detectives encourage anyone with information to call (770)513-5300 or (404)577-8477.
