Gwinnett County has alerted residents and business owners that water pressure for some homes and businesses in the northern part of the county may drop Wednesday because of repairs to a leaking 48-inch water main.

The large pipe runs under Sawnee Avenue between Buford Highway and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Buford. A leak developed Tuesday, just north of Buford High School.

Repair work will begin at 5 a.m. Wednesday unless the leak gets worse overnight.
