The Wishes 4 Me Foundation is getting its own wish granted.

The Lawrenceville nonprofit will soon receive a fully-converted wheelchair van from AMS Vans Inc. of Norcross. Founder Lynn Robinette said the van is being paid for with funds from a Gwinnett County grants program.

Robinette said the organization has been using an older model van that has more than 100,000 miles. "It was just wearing down," she said. "We had to replace the transmission and it needs some body repair work. We needed something that would be more reliable."

The nonprofit helps people with disabilities. It owns two homes for physically-challenged adults  and helps locate resources for people with disabilities.
