Gwinnett Animal Welfare and Enforcement is waiving all fees on adoptions through Oct. 20 in celebration of Adopt-a-Dog Month.
The animal shelter at 844 Winder Highway in Lawrenceville has large, small, mixed breeds and purebred dogs that are homeless and waiting for new families. The free adoption special applies to cats and kittens, too.
All pets adopted at Gwinnett Animal Welfare are vaccinated, neutered and microchipped before they go to their new home.
In addition, Animal Welfare staff will offer trick-or-treat refreshments for visitors and Halloween candy for children Oct. 25 through Halloween. Animal Welfare and Enforcement professionals will be onsite with helpful hints and information about pet care and the importance of spaying or neutering cats and dogs.
Gwinnett County Animal Welfare and Enforcement works year-round to promote adoptions and encourage the bond between people aand their pets. The shelter is located at 844 Winder Highway, Lawrenceville.
