Gwinnett PD accepting applications for Citizen’s Police Academy

The Gwinnett County Police Department is accepting applications for its next Citizen’s Police Academy.

The program will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Aug. 21 to Oct. 11. Classes will last from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and include topics like criminal investigations, SWAT, crime scene investigation and DUI enforcement.

Applications can be found at GwinnettCPA.com and must be submitted by Aug. 17. They can be submitted via email to policevolunteers@gwinnettcounty.com or by mail to P.O. Box 602 Lawrenceville, Ga., 30046. If you submit your application after the deadline, you will be considered for a future session of the Citizen's Police Academy.
