Groups help young immigrants with work authorization

The Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials and other groups will help people apply for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program Feb. 9 at 2750 Buford Highway, Atlanta.

The DACA program allows illegal immigrants who came to this country as children to obtain a federal work authorization for two years. To be eligible they must be under age 31 as of June 15, 2012, and must have come to the United States before age 16.
