A new non-profit group is organizing to develop amenities in a 126-acre donated tract of land in northwest Cobb County.

Price Park opened over a year ago but still needs stream restoration, trails, seating and restrooms, says the new non-profit, Friends of Price Park.

The group is fundraising and seeking volunteers and will host a walk through the park from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sept. 17. The park is at 4715 Stilesboro Rd., about midway between Mars Hill and Acworth Due West roads. Information: www.friendsofpricepark.org.
