Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful on Friday announced the winners of its 2012 Great American Cleanup Gwinnett Challenge. More than 40 groups competed in seven categories. Among the winners:

  • Brookwood Oaks Home Owners Association cleaned two miles of roadway, collected 12 bags of recyclables and planted 20 trees and shrubs.
  • Mill Creek High School Key Club removed litter and privet from Little Mulberry Park.
  • The Lawrenceville Neighborhood Alliance replaced a rotten roof on an elderly neighbor's house.
