Group honors Gwinnett cleanup projects

Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful on Friday announced the winners of its 2012 Great American Cleanup Gwinnett Challenge. More than 40 groups competed in seven categories. Among the winners:

Brookwood Oaks Home Owners Association cleaned two miles of roadway, collected 12 bags of recyclables and planted 20 trees and shrubs.
Mill Creek High School Key Club removed litter and privet from Little Mulberry Park.
The Lawrenceville Neighborhood Alliance replaced a rotten roof on an elderly neighbor's house.
