Consignment sale seeks helpers
Sweet Repeats, a twice-yearly consignment event that donates proceeds to nonprofits including the global charity AWANA, is looking for volunteers. As an added incentive, volunteers get to shop a day before the general public.
When: Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 6 and 7, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 8

Various volunteer needs at Christian City
Christian City, located between Fairburn and Fayetteville in South Fulton County, helps more than 1,000 people living on its 500-acre campus. Has a need for volunteer in these positions:
Goodie House Food Pantry: volunteers are needed to sort and shelve donated food and help senior residents with food selections. 12:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday
Graceland Thrift Store: Sorters are needed Monday through Saturday to sort through donations to be priced and sold in the store.
Spiritual Care: Bible study teachers and helpers, worship service volunteers, and people to visit our shut-in senior residents on the campus are needed.
Information Desk: Receptionist need to greet and direct visitors to appropriate departments. 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday (minimum two-hour shift).
