GHSU inaugurates Azziz

Ricardo Azziz was inaugurated as the eighth president of Georgia Health Sciences University during an investiture ceremony Friday.

Azziz has served as president of the state's sole public medical college since July. Colleges often hold inaugurations months after presidents start.

Friday's ceremony is part of a series of events at the Augusta college this week. The events culminate Saturday with a day of service. Employees and their families were encouraged to volunteer on projects with different non-profit groups.
