Georgia teacher no longer with school after alleged fight with student

A Rockdale County high school teacher is no longer with the district after allegations of a fight emerged on social media.

Salem High School math instructor D’Andre Jenkins was recorded fighting with a student and that video was posted to Instagram, according to media reports.

An investigation was launched, Rockdale County schools spokeswoman Cindy Ball told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Wednesday.

Ball said Jenkins was placed on administrative leave and is no longer with the school. She did not say whether Jenkins resigned or was fired.
