Georgia Center for Nonprofits opens nominations for Revolution Awards

Nominations are now being accepted for the Georgia Center for Nonprofits' 2012 Revolution Awards.

The annual awards honor individuals and organizations who have created a "revolutionary" change that positively affects the lives of people within their communities.

The winners of the outstanding nonprofit organization and outstanding nonprofit leader will each receive $1,000 that will be donated to their respective nonprofits . The center also added a new category for outstanding board leader. That category does not carry a financial prize.

Nominations are also being accepted for the Evelyn G. Ullman Innovative Leadership Award. The award is given every other year to an outstanding nonprofit leader. The award of $15,000 will be given to the winner's organization. The deadline for  nominations for all awards is Feb. 17.
