Police on Friday were looking for two armed home invaders who tied up and sexually assaulted a 24-year-old woman and caused a 13-year-old girl to jump from a second-story window in south Fulton County.

The suspects stole $5,000 in cash and a cell phone. They fled in a green Mercury Grand Marquis or Ford Crown Victoria with tinted windows and a damaged left tail light.

The incident took place after 9 p.m. Thursday in the 6500 block of Polar Fox Court, in the Fox Fire subdivision near Riverdale.

Fulton County Police Sgt. Scott McBride said three people were home when the suspects, armed with pistols, burst in.

"It is my understanding that a sexual assault was done on the female while they were tying her up," McBride said. The 24-year-old victim had duct tape around her neck and was semi-naked when officers arrived.

A 31-year-old man was kicked in the face repeatedly. A 13-year-old girl told  police she jumped out the window when she heard the commotion. She ran across the street and called her grandmother.

The robbers reportedly were motivated by rumors of cash in the house. The residents had recently received money from tax returns, Channel 2 Action News reported.

"They tied up the victims with duct tape and took them around the house asking where the money was," McBride said.

Police found the glass kitchen table knocked over and shattered.
