Forsyth County’s flood risk information and flood hazard maps were recently revised—and the public is being invited to take a look.

County officials have set an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. June 22 at the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 E. Main St., Cumming. Residents, businesspeople and property owners will be able to view how their perceived flood risk may have changed and how that might impact their building and flood insurance requirements and their options for dealing with the changes. Officials from Forsyth County government, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and the Federal Emergency Management Agency will be on hand.

The maps are also available for viewing now at the Forsyth County Department of Engineering offices in the administration building.
