Cindy Jones Mills, District 4 commissioner and vice chairman of the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners, was recently reappointed and sworn in to serve as an at-large representative on the 2019-20 Board of Managers of the Association County Commissioners of Georgia.

The swearing-in of officers by Gov. Brian Kemp took place during the ACCG Annual Conference April 26-29 in Savannah.

“Each spring, ACCG welcomes its new leaders, and we remain fortunate to be led by a group of true public servants who possess a sincere appreciation for improving Georgia’s local communities,” Executive Director Dave Wills said. “We look forward to serving the citizens of Georgia under the direction of our new board.”

Mills was first elected District 4 commissioner in 2012 and was reelected in 2016 to a four-year term, according to a county announcement. She also serves as chair of the social services and transportation committees and as a member of the finance committee. Mills was first appointed to the ACCG Board of Managers in 2017.
