A camper in one of the summer camps at Sawnee Mountain Preserve near Cumming has tested positive for COVID-19, Forsyth County announced Tuesday.

The individual, who was asymptomatic, was attending a camp this week and was tested as a prerequisite for a different camp next week, according to a county Facebook posting.

“All involved campers and staff have been notified,” the county said, and it is now working with public health officials regarding contact tracing, additional testing and self-quarantine measures. Meanwhile, the facility was disinfected by the Forsyth County Fire Department using AeroClave, a hospital-grade decontamination system.

"We are following state and county guidelines and will continue to monitor this situation," the county said. Information: https://bit.ly/2NqxpDe
