A Forsyth County court official has been elected by his peers to a two-year term as president of the Superior Court Clerks’ Association of Georgia.

“It is an honor to have been selected to lead the association, and I look forward to continuing the streamlining of the offerings and operations of clerks’ offices,” said Greg Allen, Forsyth Clerk of the Superior Court. He said he was fortunate for having learned the legislative process and having worked with state leaders to implement “forward-thinking legislation.”

Allen has served as Forsyth Superior Court clerk since 2008 and as legislative chairman for the state Clerks’ Association for eight years, and has held leadership roles in such organizations as the board of the Georgia Superior Court Clerks Cooperative Authority, according to a county announcement.

“The Forsyth County Clerk of Court’s office has embraced technology to improve services while reducing costs,” said Forsyth County Manager Eric Johnson. “Greg’s leadership is a valuable resource for not only the county but all of Georgia.”
