A former Morehouse College student’s murder conviction has been upheld by the Georgia Supreme Court.

Tyrell Campbell, then a seventh-year senior, shot and killed Gary Paul Francis, who had let Campbell stay at his house after the computer science major was evicted from his apartment. Shortly before the 2005 killing, Francis and his girlfriend got in a fight with Campbell after they accused him of stealing Francis’ clothes, the ruling said.
