Billed as a “party with a purpose” to benefit local charities, the debut festival at City Springs in downtown Sandy Springs will be a celebration of local restaurants, city officials announced.
"Food that Rocks," created by Sandy Springs resident and Taste of Atlanta founder Dale DeSena and first held in 2016, offers food, cocktail tastings and live music.
This year’s edition, to be held from 6:30 to 11 p.m., June 9, is moving to the City Green at City Springs from Hammond Park. Participating restaurants signed up so far include Hammocks Trading Company, il Giallo, Kaiser’s Chophouse and Under the Cork Tree. Local charities to benefit will be announced soon, officials said.
"Moving the event to City Springs gives us an opportunity to grow the event and remain one of the city's signature happenings," DeSena said. Attendees must be age 21 or older; tickets are $55 in advance and $65 day of the event. Information: http://foodthatrocks.org/
