An inspector general, two prosecutors, a state attorney and a private lawyer on Thursday were recommended to fill a new vacancy on the Fulton County Superior Court bench.

The state Judicial Nominating Commission forwarded its short list of five nominees to Gov. Sonny Perdue, who will fill the new judgeship created this year by the General Assembly.

Those recommended by the commission are: Senior Assistant Attorney General Sidney Barrett; Assistant U.S. Attorney Katherine Monahan Hoffer; Shawn LaGrua, inspector general for the Secretary of State's Office; Atlanta lawyer Kelly Amanda Lee; and Robert Wolf, a Fulton County assistant district attorney.
