A new fee schedule regarding permits for filming in Henry County was approved July 17 by the Board of Commissioners.

The previous plan called for a special event permit and county staff said $50 cost did not cover the resources needed to accommodate filming requests. The county’s planning and zoning staff recommended a new fee schedule that includes a filming permit fee cost of $100 as well as a $50 zoning verification fee.

Other costs will include $250 per day to close an entire street, $125 per day to close a lane or a portion of a street, $100 per day to use a county facility, and $100 extra for a film permit request received less than one week before filming.
