Three siblings accused of a crime spree that began and ended with shootouts with police in Florida and Colorado have now been charged with federal crimes by a grand jury in Savannah.

The federal indictment filed Thursday charges 29-year-old Lee Grace Dougherty and younger brothers Ryan Dougherty and Dylan Dougherty Stanley each with bank robbery and with using firearms while committing a violent crime.

The charges stem from the Aug. 2 robbery of a bank in Valdosta, where prosecutors say the siblings waved guns and stole $5,168.

Authorities say the siblings were fleeing Florida after a police chase in which they shot at a patrol car. They were captured Aug. 10 in Colorado after another chase and shootout.

The trio remains jailed in Colorado on charges including attempted murder.
