Fayetteville outlines road project

There is now a more specific timetable for the realignment of Hood Avenue and Ga. Hwy. 92 north in Fayetteville.

The joint project between the city of Fayetteville and Fayette County has begun near the roads’ intersection with Ga. Hwy. 85. Utility poles are now being relocated, and from February to June, work will include grading, drainage and roadway construction on the Kathi Avenue roundabout.

Traffic signal installation will begin in December, and the entire project is slated for completion between February and April 2017. Traffic on all roads will remain open.
