The Fayette County public school system has put out a call for more substitute workers for its food service, transportation and after-school care departments.

The county says it needs additional employees to cover for full-time workers who are absent or ill. Substitutes do not get benefits, but could be eligible for full-time positions in food service and transportation. After-school caregivers can set their weekly schedules and choose preferred schools. The school system sponsors commercial driver’s license training for substitute bus drivers. Job descriptions and applications are posted at www.fcboe.org under Quick Links, Position Openings.
