A recent survey of Fayette County’s middle and high school science teachers has yielded a list of ways to improve classrooms and labs. Science coordinator Patricia Morgan told the Board of Education Monday that the survey, along with site visits, underscore a need to provide more microscopes, restock broken glassware and other basic supplies, repair or replace lab tables and stools, improve facilities maintenance, and provide more instructional technology such as Chromebooks. Superintendent Jody Barrow said the school system will prepare a specific plan to phase in upgrades and repairs.
