A Thomasville grandmother and a father in Griffin win big off of a new Georgia Lottery instant game.
Jurlene Reddick, who previously won a quarter-million dollar prize in March, has won a Premier Atlanta Falcons 2010 Season Ticket Package playing the Atlanta Falcons $500,000 Touchdown.
Her season ticket package includes two prime lower-level season tickets, a season parking pass, $1,000 game day cash and two authentic jerseys.
“Right now I’m sort of in shock,” Reddick said of her latest lottery win. “I’m trying to figure it out.”
Reddick, who was low on gas when she stopped at Quick Buys Convenience Store in Cairo, bought the ticket and scratched while she filled up on gas.
“At first, I looked and shouted,” she said. “I called my husband, and he started laughing.”
As Reddick and her husband, Leroy, are preparing for the Falcons’ season opener, Tommy McDowell, 51, is celebrating his half-million dollar instant game win.
McDowell of Griffin won $500,000 after also playing the Atlanta Falcons $500,000 touchdown.
“Fridays are good,” exclaimed McDowell.
McDowell, who won $777 a week before this big win, bought the ticket on a Friday at the Hot Shot on Highway 341 N. in Barnesville.
The father of five will use his winnings to purchase a new car and pay off bills.
