A piece of electrical equipment "on top of a pole" failed Thursday, causing a 45 minute power outage in north Atlanta.
Georgia Power spokesman Jeff Wilson said about 1,600 customers were without power in the Wieuca Road area of Atlanta. Several businesses were reported to be without electricity, including 5 Guys and Fresh Market on Roswell Road.
Power was restored around 7 p.m.
