Duluth police awarded state grant to stop ‘aggressive traffic'

The Duluth Police Department has been awarded a $16,600 grant from the Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.

The grant will fund the agency’s Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic (H.E.A.T.) unit, which aims to reduce crashes, injuries and fatalities from drugs and alcohol, speeding and aggressive driving and non-use of safety belts.
