A motorist was injured in a wreck that ended a high-speed chase that went from Douglas County into south Fulton County early Monday.
Channel 2 Action News reported that Douglas County deputies tried to stop the driver around 1 a.m. after they spotted a car going the wrong way on Ga. 166 near Chapel Hill Road.
The driver led deputies on a 14-mile chase at speeds of up to 100 mph, according to Channel 2.
The chase ended when the fleeing car crashed and caught fire near the intersection of Old National Highway and Burdett Road.
The driver, whose name has not been released, was pulled from the wreckage and taken to a local hospital.
There were no reports of any other injuries.
