The Douglas County Economic Development Authority and the Douglas County Chamber have formed the “Douglas Strong Relief Fund.”

Donated funds will go towards continuing to purchase food from Douglas County restaurants and caterers to feed daily more than 700 employees at WellStar Douglas Hospital and local public safety officers.

Funds also will be used to support local recovery efforts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recently, Texas Roadhouse in Douglasville and Bojangles’ joined with them to provide dinner for the hospital’s overnight shift.

A $5 donation will pay for one meal for a WellStar Douglas Hospital worker or a local public safety officer.

Individually packaged meals will be delivered to a safe location for workers to receive meals during their shifts.

All meals will be provided by Douglas County restaurants who will be paid for these meals.
