Bernard Halpern Park, which was closed all summer, will reopen with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Doraville Mayor Donna Pittman will host the event at noon today, at Bernard Halpern Park, 4150 Tilly Mill Road, as the park re-opens following a major renovation. Closed for most of the summer to take advantage of the good weather needed for growing the park’s new fields of grass, Halpern now features new playground equipment, walking trails, a new outdoor basketball court, improvements to the picnic pavilion and a new drive and parking area.
