Atlanta City Councilman Aaron Watson, Verizon Wireless, and The Metropolitan Atlanta Chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. have joined forces to help victims of domestic violence. Citizens are being asked to donate their wireless cell phones and accessories until Friday, Jan. 27 to help fund domestic violence awareness and prevention programs. Some phones are preloaded with minutes and made available to participating domestic violence agencies for use by survivors. All specially marked donation bins are located at the main entrances of Atlanta City Hall, 55 Trinity Avenue.
