Shoppers can outfit needy students with supplies by dropping things off at a Publix through Aug. 14.

Publix Super Markets has teamed up with United Way, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and several radio stations to collect needed school supplies, including pens, pencils, crayons, markers, folders, spiral notebooks and rulers. Shoppers can drop them off in "School Tools" bins in the stores.

The schools systems participating in the School Tools for Cool Kids campaign include: Atlanta, Decatur, Marietta, Carrollton and Walton cities and Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, Cherokee, Clayton, Coweta, Douglas, Fayette, Hall, Henry, Newton, Paulding and Rockdale counties.
